Autism is a neurological condition that makes it difficult to process emotions, develop social relationships and control impulses. The cause is unknown, although there are many theories right now.
Autism looks different for each person, but it is characterized by:
-walking on toes
-flapping arms
-excessive rocking
-speech delay
-difficulty making eye contact
Autism is not 'curable' but people with autism can learn skills needed to lead normal lives.
